The duo
The Castellani–Rossetti Duo grew from the meeting of two Italian musicians with long and distinctive artistic careers. Their collaboration is founded on a shared idea of chamber music as a genuine dialogue between two musical personalities, preserving freedom, spontaneity and emotional intensity while respecting the style of every composition.
The repertoire focuses on Romanticism and the early twentieth century, from Elgar, Rachmaninoff and Kreisler to Lili Boulanger, Cécile Chaminade, Pauline Viardot, Amy Beach and Respighi. In 2026 the Duo takes Motus Animi — When Feeling Becomes Music to the United States.
The musicians
Violin
A violin graduate with highest honours, he has performed more than 1,600 concerts in Italy and abroad. He has collaborated with leading orchestras, ensembles and international artists, and appears on one hundred recordings. He is a composer, artistic director and tenured professor at the “F. Morlacchi” Conservatoire in Perugia.
Piano
He graduated with highest honours from the “G. Verdi” Conservatoire in Milan under Piero Rattalino and continued his studies with Paolo Bordoni. A prizewinner in piano and chamber-music competitions, he has recorded for RAI, Quadrivium and Hyperprism. He is artistic director of international courses and competitions and gives masterclasses in Italy and abroad.

Lyricism is the programme’s connecting thread: intimacy, declarations of love, nocturnal reflection and virtuoso momentum. The Concert Card contains videos recorded especially as a personal greeting and thank-you to the audience.
